Preaching

I love to preach!  At the invitation of your pastor, I'd love to come preach at your congregation, event, or place of worship.

My preaching proclaims God's unconditional love for all creation, is deeply rooted in Scripture, connects with current culture, holds a social justice emphasis, is absolutely committed to full inclusion for all God's children, and holds room for doubts and questions. (whew!  That's a lot to do in one sermon!)

I'm trained to preach on the lectionary (a set of agreed upon Scriptures readings for each Sunday that Lutheran, Episcopal, and other churches use) but will preach upon whatever Scriptures your community is using, or help choose some with you.  (Ask me about my sermon on Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah, the daughters of Zelophehad!)

I can preside over communion in churches that are in full communion partnership with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (more info here) but would love to be invited to preach in others.
