Church. Church. CHURCH.
God calls women into ministry, and all forms of leadership in the church.
Some of these women will be comfortably matronly. They'll look the way you think "a pastor is supposed to look."
They deserve to be seen in the image of God, be treated with dignity, have their leadership respected, and be received as faithful servants of the church. God created them and called them as they are.
Some of these women will be conventionally attractive, even sexy, even smokin' hott.
They deserve to be seen in the image of God, be treated with dignity, have their leadership respected, and be received as faithful servants of the church. God created them and called them as they are.
Some of these women will not be conventionally beautiful. You may even find them personally unattractive.
They deserve to be seen in the image of God, be treated with dignity, have their leadership respected, and be received as faithful servants of the church. God created them and called them as they are.
If you can't do this, the problem is you, not them. The church has managed to do this with straight cis male pastors for centuries. If you can't do this for pastors of other genders and sexes, it's because you are in bondage to the sin of sexism.
And do you know what can set you free? Christ, who can be found in these women called to serve you. Respect them.
